Bio: Charlyn Baring is a Filipino-Canadian Entrepreneur, Advanced Medical Aesthetician, certified in Medical-aesthetic solutions who performs innovative, effective, non-invasive laser skin care and light-based systems for a wide range of skin treatment applications. She is also Certified Freezpen professional, precision cryotherapy licensed by Health Canada. Owner of Sunswirl Laser Skin Care, Esthetics and Tanning Salon located in the City of Dartmouth, Canada. She is happily married to the love of her life who is also her business partner and she is a mother of a beautiful daughter.
Born and raised in Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines, she moved to Canada in 2010 and is now a Canadian citizen. Charlyn is committed to being a lifelong learner. At an early age, she has taken her academics seriously and learned the value of discipline and hardwork. As a consistent honors student, she received Class Valedictorian both in her elementary and high school years. She holds a Bachelor's degree of Hotel and Restaurant Management from University of Cebu in Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, Philippines, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. While working in a few different departments in hotels and resorts in the Philippines, she fell in love in the Salon and Spa department, particularly in the skin care and medical aesthetics department. Upon her arrival to Canada, she pursued the study of Medical Aesthetics and got certified. She then worked multiple jobs in spas, hotels, resorts, restaurants and in various fields including working in Scotiabank while upgrading her credentials on the side. Finally, she earned an Advanced Diploma in Medical Aesthetics from Dermysk Academy, School of Medical Aesthetics of Canada.
Charlyn is in a pursuit to learn new skills and competencies with an open mind, optimistic view and growth mindset. She is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, highly motivated, a team player and highly dedicated to any task at hand. She is super passionate about helping clients become the best version of themselves and assist them to take care of their skin so they maintain youthfulness. With her leadership, Sunswirl won numerous awards including Top Choice Award in 2022 as well as Consumer Choice Awards 3 years in a row from 2021 to present. Delivering exceptional service every time is her ultimate goal as Sunswirl moves to the next level which has been consistently achieved through many positive reviews from clients who are happy with the services. She plans to continue nurturing Sunswirl’s growth by expanding more products and services that clients continue to enjoy.
Charlyn enjoys going for walks, spending quality time with her husband and her daughter. She has motivated her family to consistently go to the gym and dance zumba. She enjoys laughing together with her family and cuddling up with them while watching good movies at home. She enjoys singing karaoke, Christian worship songs and writing a few of her original songs. She enjoys traveling to learn other cultures. Over the last few years, she’s visited Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Cuba, Ireland, UK, France, Dominican Republic and plans to visit more countries in the future.
