Bio - Cléa Polar is a passionate entrepreneur, consultant, and industrialist with over a decade of experience in the textile industry. A self-taught professional, she founded her first company at 23 and has since become a leader in eco-design, production, and sustainable practices. Born in Brussels and having lived in Paris, Berlin, and Boston, she is now based in Marseille.
Cléa co-founded Coco&Rico, a textile design workshop in Paris that specializes in sustainable production, supporting over 700 clients, including notable names like SNCF, Veolia, and Marine Serre. She is also a co-founder of RRFT, an association dedicated to making the textile industry more circular through the revalorization of raw materials, the promotion of local production, and waste reduction. As Vice-President of Façon de Faire, she leads a CSR and Innovation commission promoting sustainable fashion in France.
Her ventures include developing a textile production unit in Cotonou, Benin, to empower local women and create jobs, and the Textile City project in Bolbec, Normandy, transforming an industrial wasteland into a center of textile excellence. Cléa’s work reflects her commitment to sustainability, with a vision for a circular textile industry that prioritizes ethical practices, education, and collaboration.
Cléa is also an active member of En Mode Climat, advocating for CO2 reductions in the fashion industry, and is involved in several personal projects focusing on design, sustainable development, and physical fitness. Her ambition is to lead the transformation of the textile industry, making it more eco-responsible and circular.
