- Where and how did you find your area of interest in mindset coaching and what led you to transform it into your profession?
In 2021, after my father's passing, I found myself questioning my life and its alignment with societal expectations. I realised that my life was mirroring his—a relentless cycle of work and waiting for time off. I was even in a similar situation, working the same job at the same company. My father had dedicated the majority of his life to his job, which not only took a toll on his health but also led to his passing before he could enjoy retirement. As difficult as it was to admit, I did not want to follow the same path.
In 2022, I discovered a year-long coaching program that fundamentally shifted my perspective. It helped me confront my truths, overcome limiting beliefs, and make the necessary changes to pursue the life I truly wanted. A few months into the program, I knew that I wanted to help others achieve the same transformation.
I began coaching in February 2023, and within a year, I recognized the crucial role that mindset plays in achieving success. For both my clients and myself, I saw that nothing could be accomplished without a mindset aligned with our goals. Despite exploring various programs, therapies, and tools, it became clear that focusing our minds allows us to achieve anything we desire. This realisation deepened my commitment to mindset work, and now I strive to empower individuals to become the leaders of their own lives and make decisions aligned with what truly matters to them.
2. In your coaching style, can you describe how you use the concept of ‘energetics’ and how it aids in the mindset transformations?
Think about how everything around us, including ourselves, has energy. You’ve probably noticed that when you're feeling positive, things tend to flow better—people seem to respond more kindly, and situations feel smoother. That’s because your mindset influences the energy you’re putting out into the world. On the flip side, if you're in a space filled with negativity, it’s much easier to fall into a negative headspace. As much as your mindset can impact energy, the energy around can impact your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
In my work with clients, I help them understand this connection between energy and mindset. We explore how their current energy and the energy around them influences their thinking, emotions, and behaviour, and how just as words or situations can trigger certain emotions, so can energy. By using energetics techniques like visualisation and meditation, we shift that energy to match their goals. It’s not just about trying to think positively; it’s about truly aligning your mindset and energy so that they work together.
When you tune into the energy around you, and within yourself, you start to make the shifts necessary to move toward the life you truly want. By working with both mindset and energy, you can achieve long-lasting results that positively affect your entire being.
3. What limitations do you consider the most frequently seen by people as unchangeable, and how do you work with clients to deconstruct these beliefs?
One of the biggest limitations I encounter is the deep-seated belief of not being enough. This feeling often holds people back, making them doubt their worth and capabilities. It's like there's a constant inner critic saying they're not doing enough, not accomplishing enough, or that they are not enough to achieve what they desire. This belief can be rooted in past experiences or societal pressures, and it tends to influence how people view themselves and their potential.
To deconstruct this belief, we start by exploring its origins and how it affects daily life. I ask questions like, "What happened today that made you feel this way?" or "Can you remember the first time you felt this way?" For example, someone might feel they're not a good enough parent and constantly compare themselves to others. Through powerful questioning and techniques like visualisation, we revisit and reframe these experiences to uncover hidden truths. For instance, a client might realise that their perceived inadequacy as a parent comes from unrealistic standards set by society or the judgments of others, not from the way they actually are. By challenging these limiting thoughts and recognizing their true worth, clients can see that they are indeed enough, just as they are. This realisation allows them to move forward with a deeper sense of self-worth and trust in themselves.
4. In the case of your clients, how does your non-judgmental approach to coaching make it more personalized?
A common fear people have is worrying about how others will judge them—whether their intentions will be misinterpreted, if they'll be seen as not a good person, or simply misunderstood. It’s a fear that often makes you hold back, even in places where you’re supposed to feel safe. To really work through past issues and limiting beliefs and create lasting change, it’s essential to face these fears head-on rather than avoiding them.
In our sessions, I offer a non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. This approach helps you feel safe enough to open up, make peace with your past, and understand that those old experiences don’t define your worth. With this newfound clarity and acceptance, you can confidently move forward towards the life you truly want.
5. Is there any real-life story from your coaching practice that you remember as the affirmation of the effectiveness of mindset work?
One memorable story from my coaching practice involves a client deeply affected by limiting beliefs from past experiences. Beliefs such as feeling they had missed out on a different type of life or could have done things better made them feel unworthy and diminished their self-value. These beliefs impacted their behaviour and decision-making across all areas of their life, leading to self-doubt and frequently diminishing their achievements.
During our work together, we explored and challenged these limiting beliefs through various techniques. We used “what if” scenarios to help them view situations from a neutral perspective, which allowed them to reframe their inner dialogue.
We also focused on recognizing triggers in their daily life and practised strategies to stay grounded, such as mindfulness and affirmations. As a result, they developed a stronger sense of self-awareness and control over their reactions. Today, they confidently navigate challenges and decisions with a clearer alignment to their true desires, significantly improving their overall well-being and life satisfaction.
6. How do you integrate the concepts of self-development into the training and development process that you offer?
When it comes to self-development, I believe it’s about addressing different aspects of a person’s life to create real growth. In my coaching, I make sure we prioritise and target the aspects of life that need the most attention. We work on understanding your goals and what you truly want to achieve, so the coaching is tailored to fit your vision.
During our time together, we dive into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, using powerful questioning, one-on-one sessions, visualisations, and meditations. These are all designed to help you take consistent steps toward your goals. I make sure you have what you need to make those changes last, and through regular check-ins, we’ll track your progress and adjust along the way. By the end of your time working with me, you’ll have hit all the key areas of your growth, from reframing how you think to making decisions that align with what truly matters to you. You’ll leave feeling empowered, confident, and ready to live the life you desire.
